Dr. M. Craig Williams
Dr. M. Craig Williams, DDS, was born in Raleigh, NC, and lived there until he graduated from Ravenscroft High School.
In high school, he played varsity football, basketball and baseball. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his bachelor of science in business administration. During his four years in Chapel Hill, he enjoyed attending Carolina basketball games at the Smith Center and was lucky enough to travel to Indianapolis for the 1997 Final Four.
After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Williams attended the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where he learned about sound clinical dentistry and patient care. While in Morgantown, Dr. Craig Williams learned the meaning of being a mountaineer football fan as he lived a stone’s throw from the stadium. He even managed to pick up some lunch money by parking cars in his front yard. If you think UNC fans are crazy about basketball, then you ought to see hundreds of RV’s heading to town the night before a home football game in Morgantown. It is quite exciting. Although he enjoyed his time in the beautiful state of West Virginia, Dr. Craig Williams never forgot the sunny weather and warm southern hospitality of North Carolina.
Upon Graduation from WVU, he moved back to Raleigh and began practicing with his father. Dr. Craig Williams’ wife, Melissa, teaches high school art. They have two sons, Brock and Lawson, and twin girls, Emmaline and Adelaide.
Dr. Craig Williams enjoys playing golf and basketball. He also enjoys using computers and modern dental technologies, like digital X-rays, tooth-colored fillings, Cerec one-visit crowns and using intra-oral cameras.
William Daily, DDS, DABOI/ID

Founder, Carolina Implant
Dr. William Daily has practiced dentistry in Raleigh since 2011 and founded Carolina Implant in 2016 to provide advanced implant surgery and full-arch rehabilitation in a single, comprehensive practice.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in 2004 and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2010.
He then advanced his dental education in a residency program at the University of Florida, subsequently earning Fellowship status in both the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI).
Dr. Daily has completed more than 10,000 implant surgeries and restorations throughout his career.
He is one of a select group of dentists in the United States to earn Diplomate status from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (DABOI/ID), the highest credential available in implant dentistry.
His practice is limited to dental implant surgery and restoration, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, full-arch rehabilitation, and IV sedation, allowing many patients to comfortably complete extensive treatment in fewer visits.
One of Dr. Daily’s guiding principles in founding Carolina Implant has been making his patients’ implant treatment more affordable without compromising quality of care.
By incorporating advanced in-house digital design and laboratory technology, and by providing both the surgical and restorative phases of treatment within one practice, he is often able to save patients thousands of dollars compared with traditional treatment workflows.
Dr. Daily and his wife, Jessica, are proud to call Raleigh home, where they are raising their three children. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing pickleball, cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes, and spending time in the beautiful mountains and beaches of North Carolina.
Dr. Virginia Mayo Buckman
Dr. Virginia Mayo Buckman, DDS, FAGD, is a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She started working in her father’s dental office in high school and knew immediately dentistry was her passion. Dr. Buckman graduated Phi Beta Kappa with the highest distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill (2012) with a Bachelor’s degree and went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UNC (2016). During her studies, she was the recipient of many academic scholarships, two research fellowships, and had her research published in peer-reviewed dental journals (Angle Orthodontist and Molecular Biosystems).
Dr. Buckman continues to take advanced training in order to provide her patients with high-quality dental care utilizing recent concepts and advanced techniques. While helping her patients achieve their individual goals for treatment, she takes great care to do so in a comfortable, friendly environment with kindness and compassion.
She is an active member in the dental community serving as a board member of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society. Additionally, she is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and International Dental Implant Association (IDIA). She has also earned her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), which demonstrates her dedication to dental continuing education beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of dentists obtain this recognition.
Dr. Buckman and her husband, Edmund, welcomed home a baby girl, Catherine, in March 2023. When she isn’t working and helping patients improve their oral health, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog (Pepper), traveling, hiking, practicing yoga, and cheering on the “Tarheels.” Her last adventure before becoming a mother was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Dr. Michael D. Williams
Founder
Dr. Michael D. Williams, DDS, PA, a native of Huntington, WV, and a huge fan of the Marshall University Thundering Herd Football team. He attended Marshall University and went on to West Virginia University Dental School after only three years of undergraduate studies. In dental school, Dr. Williams excelled in clinical studies of dentistry.
During his fourth year of dental school, he and his new bride, Connie, took a trip down the east coast to find a place to settle, have a family and start a dental practice. They settled on Raleigh, North Carolina and called it home ever since. Although his ties to West Virginia remained strong, Dr. Williams considered himself a North Carolinian and even allowed his kids to attend the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Williams truly enjoyed cosmetic, rehabilitative and preventive dentistry. He built his practice on the concept of providing the very best treatment in a caring and gentle environment. He found the relationship of oral health and its effects on the total body health very interesting.
